Luanda: Domingos Andr© Tchicanha, Secretary of State for Former Combatants and Veterans of the Motherland, emphasized social security as one of the fundamental pillars of human development, highlighting its role in ensuring stability. Speaking at the opening of the colloquium titled "Angola 50 Years of National Independence: Present, Past, and Future of Social Security," Tchicanha noted that the system guarantees the right to well-being and protection throughout the life cycle and is essential for maintaining the dignity and equality of all citizens.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Tchicanha underscored that social security should serve as a key instrument of protection, intergenerational solidarity, and dignity for all its beneficiaries. The colloquium, organized by the Ministry of National Defense, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Nation, and the Social Security Institute of the Angolan Armed Forces, focused on evaluating the national social security system from a pedagogical perspective.
The event aimed to contribute to the construction of a social security system that is not only efficient and sustainable but also tailored to meet the real needs of Angolan pensioners.
