Luanda: The minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falco, announced that the Angolan Executive is making significant strides in youth empowerment, emphasizing structured and progressive steps that have led to concrete opportunities and effective results.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Falco highlighted in an official message on Angolan Youth Day, April 14th, that the Youth Development Plan 2025-2027 is forming a solid foundation for future initiatives. The plan aims to focus on market-oriented training, support for youth entrepreneurship, promotion of self-employment, and expansion of access to financial education. The minister also stressed the importance of valuing talent and innovation.
Falco noted the importance of guiding young people towards sectors such as agribusiness, beekeeping, aquaculture, poultry farming, and the manufacturing industry, as these are seen as sectors that generate tangible wealth. He emphasized that building Angola's future requires not just ideas but also productive actions.
The minister acknowledged the need for Angolan youth to have access to real opportunities, confidence, and measurable results. He mentioned that Angola is in a new historical phase, marked by increased demands for competitiveness and productivity after 50 years of Independence. In response, youth are encouraged to take an active role supported by effective public policies.
Falco recognized the challenges that many young people still face in accessing employment and opportunities. He reiterated the Executive's dedication to creating a more conducive environment for the younger generation. As part of the ongoing efforts, the April Youth 2026 Campaign is engaging thousands of young Angolans in activities centered on innovation, empowerment, and development.
He concluded by stating that the transformation of potential into concrete results is crucial for Angola's future, calling for collaboration between the State and youth to achieve these goals.
