Angolan Head of State to travel to Norway

Luanda – The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is travelling on Wednesday (16) to the city of Oslo, capital of the Kingdom of Norway, where from 17 to 18 of this month he will carry out an official visit.

According to the President’s secretary for press and communication matters, Luís Fernando, on this first visit of the statesman to the Kingdom of Norway, and consequently to the Scandinavian subregion in Northern Europe, President João Lourenço will meet the Norwegian Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Store, and King Harald, in separate ceremonies on Friday.

According to the programme, on the first day of the visit, Thursday, João Lourenço will be the main speaker at a Business Forum, which is expected to gather influential Norwegian companies, followed by audiences with some leaders of firms interested in investing in Angola.

This event will also be attended by some Angolan ministers who will take advantage of the different discussion panels to speak about the responsibilities of their respective departments, as well as the existing opportunities for Norway and businesspeople.

The visit is scheduled to end on Friday afternoon.
