Angolan Minister of State Visits Huawei Research Center in Shanghai

Shanghai: The Minister of State and Head of the Civil Office of the President of the Republic, Dionisio Manuel da Fonseca, visited the Huawei Research Center in Shanghai on Thursday as part of his working mission to China. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in the fields of technological innovation, digital inclusion, and administrative modernization. According to Angola Press News Agency, a press release from the Angolan embassy in China sent to ANGOP, the visit to Huawei marked the beginning of the second and final stage of Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca's trip to China, after three days of intense political, diplomatic, economic, social, and cultural activity in Beijing. In the Chinese capital, the Minister of State visited the Zhongguancun Exhibition Center, known as China's "Silicon Valley," where he learned about the country's major achievements in the scientific and technological innovation sectors. During his stay in Beijing, Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca held meetings with high-level Chinese offici als, including Huang Jian Fa, executive vice-chief of the ministerial department responsible for managing high-level human resources, cadres, and international diplomatic exchanges of the Communist Party of China. The official also met with Chen Xiaodong, president of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), the institution that coordinates the country's foreign assistance programs. The agenda also included visits to the National School of Public Administration of China, the Beijing Government Service Center, the Citizen Helpline Call Center, the National History Museum, and the Railway Transport Command Center in the Chinese capital. In Shanghai, the Minister of State is expected to fulfill, in the coming days, a work program focused on mobilizing partnerships and funding for projects in administrative modernization, agriculture, public works, digital inclusion, and human resource development.
