Belgrade: Angolan president Joo Louren§o visited on Tuesday the Serbian National Assembly, where he met with the Speaker of the House, Ana Brnabic. The visit is part of the Angolan president's official visit to this European country that started Monday.
According to Angola Press News Agency, in parliament, the Angolan president signed the institution's Book of Honor, in which he highlighted the role played by the Serbian National Assembly in preserving the rule of law, consolidating democracy, and defending the values that characterize the Serbian nation. In his message, Joo Louren§o said the visit constitutes an eloquent testimony to the strength of the historical ties of friendship and cooperation between Angola and Serbia.
The president emphasized that these friendship ties contributed to building the foundations that support the broad understanding between the two countries on matters related to strengthening bilateral cooperation and deepening public-private partnerships aimed at the development of both nations. After the meeting with Ana Brnabic, the Angolan statesman took a guided tour of the Serbian National Assembly.
The visit to the Serbian parliament was part of the agenda for the second day of President Joo Louren§o's official stay in Belgrade, marked by the signing of ten legal instruments and the strengthening of political, economic, and institutional cooperation between Angola and Serbia.
