He called on officers to work tirelessly to comply with the guidelines issued by their superiors to ensure, increasingly, public order and tranquility.

'The date we are about to celebrate in a few days' time should serve as a moment of reflection on the future of the institution, which requires resilience from all officers to respond to the challenges facing society,' Gaspar remarked.

The program of activities, running under the slogan 'Ministry of the Interior: modernizing and innovating towards institutional excellence', includes visits to staff in various local healthcare facilities, a tree-planting campaign, blood and breast milk donations, and sporting activities.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of the Advisory Council of the Interior Delegation, staff from the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) and the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), representatives of traditional and religious authorities, magistrates, and other guests.
