Angolan president receives message from Zimbabwean counterpart

Luanda – Angolan head of State João Lourenço received Friday in Luanda a message from his Zimbabwean counterpart, Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The message, whose content has not been disclosed, was delivered by Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, the special envoy of the Zimbabwean President, during an audience granted by the Angolan Head of State.

Speaking to the press, at the end of the meeting, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi recalled that Angola and Zimbabwe have been working and cooperating since the liberation struggles against colonial and apartheid regimes and have always been at the forefront in most of the battles that took place in the Southern region of Africa.

“The two leaders have always held regular consultations with a view to exchanging experiences in matters related to our liberation struggles and find the best ways to improve bilateral cooperation relations”, he explained.
