Luanda:The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces, Joo Louren§o, has urged newly sworn-in military justice magistrates to fulfill their duties with rigor and unwavering commitment to the nation.
According to Angola Press News Agency, President Louren§o made this recommendation during the swearing-in ceremony of the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic and Military Prosecutor of the Angolan Armed Forces, Ivo Manuel Mendes Jardim, along with Deputy Prosecutors Dirceu Ar©cio Moreira Gaspar and Jos© Cruz. The event took place in the Noble Hall of the Presidential Palace.
The President expressed his hope that the new magistrates will adhere strictly to their oath to serve the nation with zeal and dedication. He emphasized that they will take on new functions and responsibilities within the Attorney General's Office, particularly in military justice.
The ceremony was attended by the president of the Military Court, the Attorney General of the Republic, Ministers of State, Ministers, and high-ranking military officers, among other dignitaries.
Additionally, prior to the swearing-in, President Louren§o promoted several general officers to higher military ranks, elevating officers from Lieutenant General, Brigadier General, and Rear Admiral to General, Lieutenant General, and Vice Admiral, respectively. This event marked both the formal assumption of duties for the new military justice magistrates and the advancement in ranks within the Angolan Armed Forces leadership.
