Angola’s ‘Brilliant Minds’ Program Offers Scholarships to United Kingdom

Luanda: A program offering full scholarships for young Angolans interested in attending courses in the United Kingdom (UK), called "Angola's Brilliant Minds," was launched on Thursday, in Luanda. It is an initiative of Moharra's Education, a project of Moharra's Invest, in partnership with the company Dukes Education. According to Angola Press News Agency, the aim of the program is to train and empower Angolan youth and support students specializing in continuing their higher education studies at leading British institutions. The goal is for these students to return to Angola and lead national development, serving as a long-term investment in human capital. The initiative acts as a bridge between Angolan talent and excellent education, with the purpose of bringing back knowledge, leadership, and innovation. The program can fully fund scholarships for two to four students, depending on the partnerships achieved. These students will be identified from the 21 provinces of Angola, ensuring equal opportunities f or all applicants. Elizabete dos Santos, the founder and CEO of Moharra's Invest, highlighted that the program includes a group of leading British schools and educational institutions. It covers the costs of studying in the United Kingdom, including tuition fees, housing, living allowance, visa support, travel, academic monitoring, leadership, and career mentoring. Additionally, students will have a guaranteed career path upon returning to Angola, working for Moharra's Invest companies or partner organizations. Henrietta Lightwood, the Global Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment at Dukes Education, emphasized that each student has unique potential. The partnership with Bright Minds Angola aims to train leaders and change agents in the country, offering not only an excellent education but also the confidence and vision needed to transform communities.
