Stuttgart: Angola's participation and nomination as host of the International Tourism Fair represents the concrete expression of a path of reforms, investments, and strategic choices for the economic diversification of the country, said the Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, on Saturday. Speaking at the official opening ceremony of one of the world's largest fairs - CMT (Caravan Motor Touristik), which takes place from January 16 to 25 in Stuttgart (Germany), the minister said Angola arrives at the event after a profound reorganization of the tourism sector, guided by criteria of quality, sustainability, and competitiveness. According to Angola Press News Agency, Marcio Daniel emphasized that the Angolan government understood that modern tourism requires planning, clear standards, and a public administration capable of responding efficiently to the demands of the international market. The minister stressed that the Angolan government adopted a simple but structuring vision that now guides all its public act ion and understood that tourism 'is not just about visiting, it is about welcoming well, with organization, safety, professionalism and respect for the visitor. He stated that it was from this understanding that the country reinforced structuring strategies, such as the "Reclassifica Turismo" project, a process of reviewing and evaluating hotel units that will allow raising the quality standards of the Angolan offer and aligning the sector with international requirements. The minister said the Angolan government is investing in the continuous training and certification of human resources, preparing guides, managers, operators, and travel agents to welcome with competence, ethics, and excellence. To promote Angolan tourism and strengthen relations with other countries in this sector, Angola launched the "Visit Angola" brand. The brand aims to promote the country as a diverse, authentic, and welcoming destination by highlighting its rich culture, natural beauty, and hospitality. The slogan "The Rhythm of Life " showcases Angola's vitality beyond oil, with an official website (visitangola.ao) and ambassadors to promote the destination globally. By November 2025, the country registered the arrival of more than 200,000 tourists, a growth of 17% compared to 2024. On Saturday, the Angolan stand attracted several visitors who were enchanted by the country's vibrant dance and music.
