Luanda: The Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino, on Thursday considered ANGOTIC as the largest technology and telecommunications event in the southern region and one of the most relevant at the level of the African continent. Speaking at an advocacy session for the academic community, focusing on ANGOTIC 2026, the official said the event constitutes one of the main initiatives of the Angolan government, through which projects and programs for digital inclusion underway in the country are highlighted, also creating opportunities for students.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Nuno Caldas added that the central objective of the forum is to bring together telecommunications operators, ICT service companies, startups, academics, experts, media outlets, and students to promote technological solutions in service of the citizen. He said this year's edition, the event intends to reaffirm itself as a platform for knowledge, technological innovation, and the sharing of experiences.
This year's edition takes place under the motto "ANGOTIC 2026: On the road to digital transformation". ANGOTIC - the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies - is the largest technology event in Angola and one of the most significant in Africa, bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors, industry representatives, universities, startups, and innovators from across the ICT ecosystem.
