Arab Atheltics U23 Championships – Day 2: another silver medal for Tunisia

Tunisian athlete Chayma Chouikh won the silver medal in the discus throw, on Sunday, at day 2 the Arab Athletics U23 Championships, held from May 20 to 24 at the Rades athletics stadium.

Chouikh achieved a throw of 44.79m to finish second behind Morocco’s Chaabia Belmaassi (46.24m) and ahead of Egypt’s Rana Khaled (42.72m).

Earlier in the day, Oussama Farhat gave Tunisia their second gold medal in the men’s 10,000m race, covering the distance in 40:28.64.

The first gold medal went to Nesrine Lachhab, who won the javelin event (40.41m) on Saturday.

At day 1, Tunisia’s Jamila Zoghmi and Amina Hsouna won silver and bronze medals in the women’s 10,000m steeplechase, while Farah Tlig took silver in the javelin (39.12m).
