Argentina’s National Team Arrives in Luanda for Friendly Match Against Angola

Luanda: Argentina's national football team, featuring renowned forward Lionel Messi, arrived at Luanda's 4 de Fevereiro International Airport at 9 pm on Thursday. The team is set to face Angola in a friendly match scheduled for 5 pm on Friday at the 11 de Novembro stadium.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the Argentine delegation traveled from Spain, where they prepared for the FIFA date match. The group consists of 88 individuals, including 21 players, coaching staff, officials, and journalists. Coach Lionel Scaloni has selected a squad that includes Messi, who has been honored as the best player in the world by FIFA eight times, underlining his pivotal role in the lineup.

The friendly match is part of the celebrations for Angola's National Independence Jubilee, which was marked on Tuesday, November 11. The Argentine team's visit adds to the festivity of the national occasion, offering fans an opportunity to witness top-tier international football.

The players called up for Friday's match include goalkeepers Ger³nimo Rulli and Walter Ben­tez, defenders such as Juan Foyth and Cristian Romero, midfielders including Enzo Fern¡ndez and Rodrigo De Paul, and forwards like Lautaro Mart­nez and Jos© Manuel L³pez. Lionel Messi, currently with Inter Miami in the USA, headlines the squad, promising an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship in the upcoming match.
