At Least Three Children Found Dead Inside Vehicle in Luanda

Luanda: At least three children aged 2, 4, and 5 were found dead inside a broken-down vehicle in the Capalanga neighborhood, in Luanda. Preliminary data indicate that the children disappeared while playing on Wednesday, and during the search on Thursday morning, the families reported the case to local authorities.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Samuel Correia Victor, the director of Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, stated that the case, which shocked the community, is now being led by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC). The official expressed distress over the incident and noted that the municipal administration of Mulenvos has provided a team to support the grieving families who are demanding justice.

Lu­sa Ernesto, Marcela Cabuzo, and Teresa F¡tima, the mothers of the three children, are calling for justice and assistance from the police to identify and apprehend those responsible for the crime. This tragic event marks the first case of its kind in the municipality of Mulembo. The district, which borders the municipality of Cacuaco to the north, Viana to the south, Cazenga to the east, and Sequele to the west, has an estimated population of 514,417 within an area of 71 square kilometers.
