Bobo-Dioulasso: The 11th Class of INFPE Ex-ENEP Celebrates Two Decades in Education Service

Bobo-dioulasso: Alumni of the 11th class of the National Institute for the Training of Education Personnel (INFPE), formerly ENEP of Bobo-Dioulasso, marked their twenty years of service on July 25 and 26, 2025, at their alma mater.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the theme of the commemorative event was "Two decades in the service of national education: challenges and perspectives." The ceremony saw the presence of the Minister of Basic Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages, the governor of the Guiriko region, the commander of the 2nd military region, and numerous teachers.

Over the two-day celebration, a variety of activities took place, including artistic performances, reforestation, an aerobics session, and a gala soccer match between the 11th promotion and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), with the latter winning on penalties (1 shot against 0).

In a gesture of gratitude, the alumni presented certificates of appreciation to their former ENEP instructors, which was well-received by all attendees. The minister, in his address, commended the alumni for their progress and encouraged them to continue contributing positively to the national education system. He also discussed ongoing reforms aimed at fostering civic-mindedness, patriotism, and the training of model citizens.

Ousmane Bamogo, president of the organizing committee, recounted the unique journey of the 11th class, which included an accelerated training course lasting under six months, delivered with incomplete modules. Despite these challenges, the class persevered and successfully integrated into the education system after passing an integration exam.

Now, two decades later, the former students express pride in their achievements and a commitment to support the ministry in enhancing the efficiency of Burkinabe schools. This commemoration also served as an opportunity for class members to reinforce their camaraderie and look forward to future endeavors with optimism and dedication.
