BODIVA Records AOA 3.39 Billion Turnover in Three Days

Luanda: The equities market of the Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA) recorded a turnover of AOA 3.39 billion between 14 and 16 September, resulting from 779 transactions and the trading of 46,434 shares. According to Angola Press News Agency, Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA) accounted for the largest trading volume, generating AOA 2.37 billion, equivalent to 69.89% of the total value traded. The bank also posted the sharpest decline among listed securities during the period, with its share price falling 3.02% to close at AOA 98,333. BODIVA itself recorded a trading volume of AOA 515.01 million, representing 15.20% of the market, and registered the strongest appreciation among listed companies, with its share price rising 3.76% to AOA 83,000. Unitel ranked third in terms of market share, accounting for 12.40% of the total value traded, equivalent to AOA 420.24 million. Despite recording the highest number of transactions, at 389, its share price remained virtually unchanged, edging down 0.01%. In ad dition to BODIVA, ENSA also closed the period in positive territory, gaining 0.36% to AOA 22,850. Meanwhile, Banco Caixa Geral Angola (BCGA) fell 0.53% to AOA 18,993.33. The distribution of transactions shows that trading volume and the number of deals were not necessarily concentrated in the same companies. The figures underline BFA's dominant position in equity trading during the three sessions. Of the AOA 3.39 billion traded, approximately seven out of every 10 kwanzas were invested in transactions involving the bank's shares. Overall, between 14 and 16 September, the stock market recorded a general appreciation of 0.56%.
