Cuito: The body of Rodrina Pedro, known by her stage name Sister Rode, was discovered on Friday in a thicket on the outskirts of Cuito, in the province of Bie. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition and showed signs of hanging.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the 34-year-old gospel singer had been missing since January 19. She had left her home in the city center around 5 am that day and had not made any contact with her family since then.
The spokesperson for the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), Chief Inspector Carlos Oliveira, reported that the body was found by locals with a rope around its neck. Preliminary investigations suggest a possible suicide, as Sister Rode was reportedly experiencing personal difficulties.
