Brent Oil Prices Surge by 4%


Luanda: The barrel of Brent oil opened trading on Thursday at US$70.25, marking a 4% increase compared to the previous session, which closed at US$69.28.



According to Angola Press News Agency, the previous day, Brent oil futures contracts fell slightly by 0.1%, closing at US$68.58 per barrel. In contrast, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil experienced a 0.3% decline, closing at US$68.72.



Brent oil serves as a benchmark for Angola’s exports. The country has set a reference price of US$70 per barrel in its 2025 General Budget, aligning with the current market trends.
