Burkina/SITHO 2025: More Than 10,000 Visitors Expected

Ouagadougou: The president of the national organizing committee of the 15th edition of the Ouagadougou International Tourism and Hospitality Exhibition (SITHO), B¨tamou Fid¨le Aymar Tamini, launched on Wednesday during a press conference, the preparations for the event scheduled for September 25 to 28, 2025, and where more than 10,000 visitors are expected.

According to Burkina Information Agency, more than 10,000 visitors are expected, with the participation of some twenty media outlets, tour operators, and delegations from at least 10 African countries. The event will take place at the Ouagadougou International Crafts Fair (SIAO) exhibition center.

Under the theme "Tourism and Integration of the Peoples of the Sahel," this edition aims to promote Burkina Faso as a destination and strengthen regional cooperation. Niger and Mali will be the special guest countries, while the Central-East region will be in the spotlight.

Announced innovations include 3D virtual tours, a tourism tech hackathon, and a tourism project pitch. Activities such as exhibitions, B2B meetings, culinary competitions, cultural evenings, and public excursions will punctuate the show.

SITHO 2025 is a strategic platform to promote Burkina Faso's tourism potential, stimulate partnerships and strengthen regional integration, he stressed.
