Rabat: The golden boot of the co-top scorer of the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN U17 Morocco 2025), the Etalon cadet Achraf Louman Tapsoba was presented to the Burkinabe delegation present in Rabat for the preparation of the Etalons A', we learned Saturday from the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe delegation received the coveted trophy from a CAF representative in Rabat on Saturday. The FBF announced, "This Saturday in Rabat, the Burkinabe delegation preparing for the 2025 CHAN had the honor of receiving, from the hands of a CAF representative, the long-awaited Achraf Loukman Tapsoba trophy."
The federation clarified that Achraf Loukman Tapsoba was the joint top scorer of the 2025 U17 AFCON, sharing this honor with Ivorian Alynho Hadara, as both players scored seven goals each. However, during the tournament's final, only Hadara was awarded the trophy, leaving Tapsoba and his supporters in anticipation.
The delay in awarding the trophy to Tapsoba had raised questions and frustration, but CAF had assured through a letter that the award would be delivered later. This promise has now been fulfilled, bringing joy and satisfaction to the Burkinabe football community.
