Luanda: Cape Verde national team qualified for the quarterfinals of Afrobasket 2025 on Tuesday by defeating Tunisia with a score of 87-54 at the Kilamba pavilion.
According to Angola Press News Agency, this victory secures Cape Verde a spot in the next round where they will face Angola on Thursday, starting at 7 p.m. at the same arena. Historically, Cape Verde finished 3rd in the 2007 edition with a narrow 53-51 victory over Egypt. Angola, on the other hand, has a record of lifting the trophy 11 times.
