Capital Market Commission Gives Nod to 15% Public Offering of UNITEL’s Shares

Luanda: The Capital Market Commission (CMC) approved on July 1st this year the registration of a public offering for the sale of 15% of the share capital of the mobile phone company UNITEL.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the transaction involves a public offering of 7,500,000 ordinary, book-entry, and registered shares, with a nominal value of 5,000 kwanzas per share; the company's entire 50,000,000 shares-representing its total share capital-are expected to be admitted for trading on the stock exchange.

The Capital Market Commission clarifies that the registration is based on legal compliance criteria and does not imply any guarantee regarding the content of the information, the economic or financial standing of the offeror or issuer, the viability of the offering, or the quality of the securities.
