Luanda: The Angola Central Bank (BNA) has made USD 162.7 million available to commercial banks in the country to respond to the increased seasonal demand for foreign currency, ANGOP has learned.
According to Angola Press News Agency, a statement published on the BNA's official website this week indicates that the measure aims to strengthen the capacity of commercial banks to meet demand and facilitate faster response to requests from individual customers and airlines between July and August.
For individual customers, the central bank's report clarifies, USD 61.1 million and EUR 10.7 million were made available. Meanwhile, for airline operations in Angola, the value reached USD 90.9 million.
