Chamber of Minas and Bumbar Mining Sign Agreement to Boost Angola’s Mining Sector

Luanda: The Angolan Mining Chamber (CAMINAS) and Bumbar Mining, an event production agency specializing in the extractive industry, have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing activities within the mining sector. The agreement, signed on Wednesday in Luanda, outlines Bumbar Mining's responsibilities to organize forums, conduct training sessions, and manage CAMINAS's institutional communication. According to Angola Press News Agency, Sebastio Panzo, executive director of Bumbar Mining, explained that the initiative is designed to ensure that the Angolan mining industry is supported by institutions that can assist in defining business strategies and shaping market communication. This agreement also highlights the importance of seeking international regulatory experiences. José Dias, chairman of the Angolan Mining Chamber, anticipates significant growth in extractive activities, particularly among CAMINAS members. The organization was established in October 2025 with a focus on boosting the sector. T he agreement was signed during the first workshop on 'Competitiveness of the Mining Sector in the Global Context', organized by the Angolan Mining Chamber. The event aimed to foster strategic dialogue surrounding the development challenges and opportunities in Angola's mining exploration. Discussions also focused on strengthening the sector's competitiveness and attracting investments to enhance mineral resource prospecting and exploration. The workshop brought together government representatives, mining companies, investors, and experts from the sector, creating a platform for collaborative discussions on the future of Angola's mining industry.
