COVID-19: ANGOLA ANNOUNCES 166 NEW INFECTIONS AND 36 RECOVERIES

Luanda – The Angolan health authorities announced this Wednesday 166 new infections, 36 recoveries and 3 deaths from Covid-19, in the last 24hours.

According to the daily report sheet, the province of Luanda diagnosed 86 cases, Cuando Cubando had 24, 23 in Moxico, 18 in Cunene, 4 in Benguela, 3 in Malanje, Cabinda and Cuanza Sul registered 2 cases, Bié, Huíla, Zaire and Uíge 1 case, respectively.

With ages ranging from 2 to 72 years, the list is filled with 104 male and 62 female patients.

The deaths were registered in provinces of Benguela, Moxico and Zaire.

Among the recoveries, 12 are resident in Cuando Cubango, 7 in Cunene, 6 in Luanda, 4 in Moxico and Huíla, Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul registered a single recovery cases.

The labs processed 2,537 samples.

Local authorities control 167 people in quarantine institutional centers, there are 2,601 and epidemiological surveillance and 116 patients on treatment centers.

The country, so far, registered 41,227 positive cases, 973 deaths, 34,893 recoveries and 5,361 current diseased.

Regarding the current diseased, 4 are in critical conditions, 8 severe, 71 moderate, 36 mild and 5,242 asymptomatic.
