COVID-19: ANGOLA REPORTS 104 RECOVERIES, 101 NEW CASES

Luanda – The Angolan health authorities announced this Friday the recovery of 104 patients, 101 new cases and 1 death, in the last 24 hours.

According to the daily bulletin to which Angop had access, 75 recovered patients reside in Luanda, 13 in Cunene, 9 in Huila, 3 in Lunda Sul, 2 in Huambo and 2 in Moxico.

Among the new infections, 36 were diagnosed in Cunene, 28 in Luanda, 15 in Moxico, 7 in Huambo, 6 in Benguela, 2 in Bié, 2 in Huila, 1 in Lunda Sul, 1 in Cuanza Sul and 1 in Malanje.

With ages ranging from 7 to 71, the list included 48 men and 53 women.

The death was registered in Malanje.

Laboratories have processed 2,792 samples.

The authorities control 123 people in institutional quarantine centres, 2,333 under epidemiological surveillance and 88 patients in treatment centres.

Angola has 40,613 positive cases, with 952 deaths, 34,724 recovered and 4,955 active. Of the active ones, 9 are critical, 6 severe, 59 moderate, 14 mild and 4,867 asymptomatic.
