COVID-19: ANGOLA REPORTS 201 NEW INFECTIONS, 6 DEATHS, 111 RECOVERIES

Luanda – The health authorities announced on Tuesday the record of 201 new cases, 6 deaths and 111 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

According to a daily report made available to ANGOP, 153 cases were diagnosed in Luanda, 25 in Huambo, 10 in Huila, 7 in Benguela, 3 in Cabinda, 2 in Malanje and 1 in Cunene.

Among the new cases, whose ages range from one month to 97 years, are 101 men and 100 women.

The deaths involve Angolan citizens, three of them in Luanda, two in Huambo and one in Bengo.

Meanwhile, 72 of those recovered reside in Luanda, 22 in Huíla, 15 in Huambo and 2 in Benguela.

The laboratories processed 2,300 samples.

140 citizens are under institutional quarantine, 262 are hospitalised and 2,412 are under epidemiological surveillance.

Angola has 34,752 positive cases, with 777 deaths, 28,190 recovered and 5,790 active. Of those active, 15 are in critical condition, 42 serious, 161 moderate, 6 with mild symptoms and 5,566 asymptomatic.
