Credit to cover over 1000 home in KK-5800 housing project

Luanda – At least 1, 400 detached houses and apartments in KK-5800 housing project, Luanda, will be available in a first phase for citizens wishing to purchase houses via a housing loan, which has been in progress since last June in the country.

The announcement was made by the director general of the National Institute for Housing (INH), António da Silva Neto, on Wednesday, who confirmed plans for availability of the homes that had been repaired/recovered from the vandalism in that project.

He clarified that the sale of houses is part of the housing credit of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), adding that each T3-villa costs 30 million kwanzas, while an apartment is estimated at 25 million kwanzas, for a maximum period of up to 25 years (300 months).

The KK-5800 project was seized by the National Asset Recovery Service, assigned to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), in February 2020.

In addition to the KK-5800, António da Silva Neto said the process will cover houses to be built in the urban projects of Marconi (Sambizanga), Kalawenda (Cazenga), where there are still infrastructure spaces to build new homes.

He also pointed out the availability of homes in urban project of Vida Pacifica, where it is expected, this month, the delivery of three more buildings, which were vandalised.
