De Beers to invest USD 33.2 million in diamond prospection

Luanda – The International De Beers is to invest USD 33.2 million for the initial prospection of primary and secondary diamond deposits in Muconda (Lunda-Sul) and Lumboma (Lunda Norte) Concessions, within the framework of contracts signed, this Wednesday, with Endiama

After 10 years out of Angola in 2012, DE BEERS returns to the country and will hold 90% of the aforementioned concession´s social capital as Endiama with take care of the remaining 10%.

The two Mining Investment Contracts signed for a period of 35 years, of which five are reserved for prospecting, were signed by the CEO of De Beers Exploration Holdings Limited, via the South African diamond branch, Bruce Cleaver and by the Chairman of the Board of Administration of Endiama-EP.
