Defense Minister Ensures Permanent Modernization of Angolan Armed Forces

Luanda: The Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Homeland, Joao Ernesto dos Santos, announced on Tuesday that the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) are in a state of continuous preparation and modernization. This ongoing effort is aimed at ensuring the defense of Angola's borders, democratic institutions, and national sovereignty.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the minister emphasized that in a world marked by geopolitical and geostrategic changes, the FAA is keeping pace with the modernization processes observed in the armed forces of other nations. "Our forces are in permanent preparation, in constant modernization and in conditions to respond to any emerging situation at our borders," said the minister.

He also highlighted that Angola's growth and the upcoming 50th anniversary of its independence present a pivotal moment for consolidating peace and enhancing the strength of its defense institutions.
