Elections 2022: MPLA highlights leader’s role in boosting society’s morale

Ndalatando – The ruling MPLA party’s militants in northern Cuanza Norte province highlighted Thursday the achievements of their president João Lourenço on improving morale of society and strict management of public affairs.

In a welcome message to João Lourenço, who is visiting the region, the party militants highlighted the country’s fresh impetus, with the construction of infrastructures, among other social initiatives.

The message was read by the MPLA’s second provincial secretary in Cuanza Norte, Felix Cutaba, which referred to the implementation of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) as a development milestone, which also provided an increase in jobs and income for many families.

According to the politician, taking into account the Executive’s actions, there is no doubt that the MPLA and its candidate (João Lourenço) “will win the elections”.

João Lourenço has been in Cuanza Norte province since Wednesday for a working visit, as part of the electoral campaign.

Among the activities, the MPLA leader presided over a mass event on Thursday in Ndalatando city.

At least 14.3 million voters, 22,560 residing abroad, are expected to vote in the elections, the fifth in the country’s history, after those in 1992, 2008, 2012 and 2017.

The MPLA won the first three elections with an absolute majority and the fourth with a qualified majority.
