Luanda – MPLA leader João lourenço left Luanda Tuesday (09) bound for the northern Malanje province, as part of general campaign underway in the country.
The ruling MPLA party’s candidate for the President of Republic is due to chair a political mass rally on Wednesday in the region.
Still, as part of the campaign for general elections, set for 24 August, the MPLA president is set to present the Electoral Manifesto and the Governance Programme for 2022-20227 to supporters and friends of this political organisation.
Apart from Luanda, Lourenço has already visited the provinces of Cuando Cubango, Cunza-Sul, Lunda-Norte and Uige, as part of his campaign.
Malanje province has 509,616 voters, 1.056 ballot tables and 644 polling stations.
Seven political parties and one coalition are running for the general elections on 24 August.
They are MPLA, UNITA, PRS, FNLA, APN, PHA and P-NJANGO and the CASA-CE coalition.
Roughly 14.3 million voters are eligible to vote, including 22.560 who are residing abroad.
