EU Technicians to Participate in Lobito Corridor Business Forum in Luena

Luena: Technicians from the European Union (EU) are set to attend the National Business Forum on the Lobito Corridor, commencing on Friday in the city of Luena, the capital of Moxico Province. The forum is organized by businesspeople from provinces that constitute the Lobito Corridor and the Eastern Region of the country, marking the 50th anniversary of National Independence with a two-day event from the 27th to the 28th.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moxico Province, Agrione Manuel, emphasized that the event will gather national businesspeople alongside EU technicians and investors from two Portuguese companies specializing in business consultancy, international travel, and technologies. The main agenda of the forum is to explore and analyze business opportunities within the Lobito Corridor.

He noted that more than 270 businesspeople from the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bi©, Moxico, Malanje, Lunda-Sul, and Lunda-Norte are anticipated to attend. This initiative, spearheaded by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the involved provinces, aims to foster collaboration across the Lobito Corridor and beyond.

The forum will delve into discussions on the significance of the Lobito Corridor, addressing challenges and opportunities in sectors such as agriculture and tourism. It will also focus on integrating local communities into the value chain, entrepreneurship, business development, and networking.
