Luanda: The 3rd day of the 41st edition of the Angola International Fair (FILDA) was marked by a visit from the Vice President of the Republic, Esperan§a da Costa, who highlighted the growth and diversity of national production.
According to Angola Press News Agency, during the tour of the fairgrounds at the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), guided by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguªns, the Vice President noted that this edition represents a significant leap forward, showcasing the effort and resilience of Angolan companies in the face of economic challenges.
The official also highlighted the participation of foreign companies that continue to invest in the Angolan market, expressing interest in establishing partnerships and expanding investments in the country.
The third day of Angola's largest business showcase also featured business meetings, debates on coastal shipping, strengthened cooperation with Italy, and the presentation of the second edition of the Semba Sound Festival.
Throughout the day, exhibitors engaged in networking activities, workshops, and project presentations, reinforcing the business-oriented atmosphere that characterizes the event.
The program also included the celebration of Italy Day, during which the Italian Ambassador to Angola, Marco Ricci, reaffirmed his country's commitment to deepening cooperation with Angola in strategic sectors linked to economic diversification.
The diplomat highlighted the interest of Italian businesspeople in the Angolan market and Italy's support for government programs in areas such as maritime security, water management, technical cooperation, and training.
In the economic sphere, the Port of Luanda hosted a meeting dedicated to coastal shipping, where experts advocated for the creation of a specific legal framework for the sector, the simplification of administrative procedures, and the digitalization of operations as tools to boost the competitiveness of national maritime transport. The third day of FILDA also featured the presentation of the second edition of the Semba Sound Festival, scheduled for November 28 at the Luanda waterfront, bringing together established artists and emerging talents from the Angolan music scene.
