FORMER HANDBALL PLAYER GIVES FAVORITISM TO ANGOLA

Luanda – The former international goalkeeper of Angola women’s handball team, Justina Praça, on Tuesday said the national team are favorites to win group C of the African Nations Handball Championship to kick off Tuesday, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Speaking to ANGOP, the former international player said Angola is theoretically favorite taking into account the 13 titles the team have won so far.

About Cape Verde, the current president of the Angolan Women and Sports Association (AMUD) said it is a debutant opponent and with few arguments in African women’s handball, and it is likely that Angola will win with fewer difficulties.

For the most valuable player (MVP) in 2013 at the service of Lorraine in France, it is important, however, not to underestimate the Cape Verdeans to beware of a possible surprise.

Regarding the game against Congo Brazzaville, the former Petro de Luanda athlete said that it will be a very demanding match and that it will also serve to test the team’s mutual help spirit.

The former player added that the Congolese team are more corpulent, so the option of Angola should be to play a fast and creative game.
