Government Reaffirms Support for Private Sector to Increase National Production

Bengo: The Secretary of State for Commerce and Services, Augusta de Carvalho Fortes, reaffirmed on Thursday, in Bengo province, the government's support to the private sector, with an emphasis on national and foreign investors.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the support guarantees the diversification and increase of national production, aiming for economic growth, in light of the projects, programs, and public policies currently underway in the country, in line with the government's governance program.

She stated that the country's economic revitalization aims to integrate Angola into the regional, continental, and global markets, to facilitate international trade and attract foreign investment.

"The aforementioned economic integration presents the Executive, and more particularly the business community, with challenges in adapting to paradigm shifts that ensure greater competitiveness in agricultural and industrial production, logistics and distribution services, as well as in local action and global thinking," she explained.

The Secretary of State for Commerce and Services emphasizes that preparing for external competitiveness and competition requires pragmatic and persistent action, through a series of transformations that enable gains in organization, productivity, and the quality of agriculture, industry, commerce, and services.
