Cabinda – The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, said Thursday that the Angolan government is working to obtain funding to rehabilitate the road linking the city of Cabinda to Miconje, Belize municipality.
The Head of State was speaking at the opening of a meeting with members of the Cabinda government, in which the provincial governor, Marcos Nhunga, presented some concerns about the rehabilitation of the region’s main roads.
The road that links the city of Cabinda to Miconje is an important connecting route between the north and the south of the province.
João Lourenço began a three-day working visit to the province of Cabinda on Thursday, as part of the proximity governance that he has been developing since the beginning of his term in September 2017.
