Sumbe: The governor of Cuanza-Sul province, Eugenio Laborinho, advocated for a public management approach centered on rigor and efficiency during a meeting in the city of Sumbe. The call to action was made at the third ordinary meeting, where the governor emphasized the importance of working diligently to achieve measurable results, enhance the quality of public services, and ensure responsible utilization of resources by institutions.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the governor addressed municipal administrators, urging them to exhibit greater dynamism and creativity in implementing initiatives that can effectively address local challenges. He highlighted his visits to 14 out of the province's 24 municipalities, where he assessed the condition of infrastructure across sectors such as education, health, energy, water, and roads, noting that these conditions are likely reflective of other areas within the province.
The third ordinary meeting of the Government of Cuanza Sul was convened to review the actions taken by the local executive branch, assess the progress of public policies, identify prevailing challenges, and develop strategies aimed at enhancing the socio-economic development of the province.
