Ndalatando: The governor of the northern province of Cuanza-Norte, Joo Diogo Gaspar, declared on Sunday in the city of Ndalatando that preserving peace and consolidating national unity should be the greatest responsibility of Angolans, so that the country can continue on the path of progress. According to Angola Press News Agency, the Angolan Executive, led by President Joo Lourenço, is working in the spirit of preserving peace to ensure a more fair Angola through the construction and rehabilitation of social and economic infrastructure. Speaking at the ecumenical Thanksgiving service for the 50th anniversary of National Independence, Joo Diogo Gaspar recognized the contribution of churches to strengthening national reconciliation, preserving peace, spiritually forming youth, consolidating harmonious social coexistence, and defending family values. He emphasized that, throughout 50 years of Independence, faith has been the pillar of the Angolan people, a guiding force, even in the most difficult times. He appealed to religious leaders and the faithful in general to continue walking alongside government authorities in the "great" challenge of preserving the gains of Independence and building an Angola that is ever stronger, fairer, and more united. The religious service took place at the Dinizes stadium, with the attendance of around five thousand faithful from different religious denominations.
