Governor Urges Cabinda Population to Update Electoral Registration

Cabinda: The Governor of Cabinda, Suzana de Abreu, appealed on Monday to the population to participate in the ongoing nationwide electoral registration process.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Suzana de Abreu made this appeal during a ceremony marking the 47th anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT). She encouraged personnel from the Ministry's agencies to help raise awareness among citizens aged 18 and over regarding the necessity of updating their electoral data.

Suzana de Abreu highlighted that citizen participation in the democratic process begins with regularizing one's electoral status. She noted that the involvement of all institutions, both corporate and individual, in the electoral data update process is crucial for ensuring comprehensive participation.

In the initial phase of the registration process, Cabinda has established four One-Stop Service Centers (BUAPs) located in the municipalities of Cabinda, Ngoio, Liambo, and Cacongo. These centers are staffed by a total of 66 operators, ready to assist citizens with their electoral registration updates.
