HANDBALL: ANGOLA AND CONGO SCRAMBLE FOR GROUP C LEAD

Luanda – The Angolan senior females National Handball Squad are facing this Sunday, in Yaounde, the Republic of Congo, a second-round encounter that is to define the leader of group C of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN2021) happening in Cameroon.

In the first round, the two teams conquered their respective two points, thus, regardless of the result of this Sunday game both squads are already through to the next stage.

Still on Saturday, the host team, Cameroon, beat DR Congo by 26-21, for group A.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations kicked off on 13th June and is schedule to close on the 18th of this month.

Angola are the defending champions and the team with highest number of this continental trophy, namely thirteen.
