Zaire: Health Minister Slvia Lutucuta announced that financial constraints and payment delays concerning the construction of the Zaire General Hospital have been successfully resolved, allowing the project to progress at an accelerated pace. The announcement was made during President Joo Louren§o's visit to the Zaire province, where the minister confirmed that the hospital is on track for inauguration in the first half of 2027.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Slvia Lutucuta assured that the new contractor is adhering to the established schedule, noting that the project is at an advanced stage without any significant deviations in terms of physical and financial execution. "All financial issues have been overcome; the constraints and payments are resolved. We are aligned with the physical and financial execution and, from now on, we expect the contractor to reinforce the workforce and apply above-average pressure to meet the deadlines," she stated.

The Health Minister emphasized the collaboration between the responsible entity, the supervising company, and the contractor to ensure the infrastructure's completion within the defined timelines. Additionally, she revealed plans for a new hospital in the municipality of Soyo, which is currently in the phase of land clearing and construction site setup.

According to the minister, the Soyo hospital will have a capacity of 200 beds, designed to meet the needs based on population density, the province's epidemiological situation, and human resource requirements. Silvia Lutucuta highlighted Soyo's significance as an economic hub tied to the oil and gas industry, underlining the necessity for adequate health infrastructure to attract more investment and provide better services to the population.
