Inácio Miguel signs for Petro de Luanda

Luanda – Angolan defender Inácio Miguel, who played for Latvia’s FK Liepaja, has signed a one-year and a half contract with Angola’s first division football team Petro de Luanda, the club said in its website.

The 27-year-old player will face competition from other players namely, Kinito, Mindinho and Pedro Pinto in the defence section line-up.

The Angolan international for the national team started his football career in Portugal.

In Spain, he represented Vila Real and, while he played for Gil Vicente and Sporting de Braga.

This is the second signing announced by Petro de Luanda this season, following the 31-year old Portuguese midfielder Alex Soares.

The defending champions Petro de Luanda are currently in Portugal on a training programme, preparing for the resumption of the second leg of the top division National Championship (Girabola 2022/23) and the group stage of the African Champions League.

Petro face Estrela da Amadora Thursday in a friendly match.
