Inauguration and fashion show mark first day of FILDA

Luanda – A fashion show to publicise the restructured “Made in Angola” product label and the inauguration ceremony marked the first day of the 37th edition of the International Luanda Fair (FILDA/2022), which is being held from 16 to 20 July, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE).

The minute “Made in Angola”, an initiative of the National Institute of Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), will take place every day to promote the recently structured national production seal.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, advocated a greater focus on diversification of the economy and on national production that is beginning to bear fruit, stressing the need for greater work to increase it, in order for Angola to be self-sufficient in food production.

On the first day of the event, which was attended by over 5,000 visitors, the Minister for the Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, said that FILDA had become a catalyst for foreign investment, allowing for the exchange of experiences and commercial transactions between large national and foreign companies.
