Investor Portal raises Kz 1.4 billion

Luanda – The Investor Portal (PINV) raised Treasury Bonds to the amount of 1.4 billion kwanzas, in March of this year, when online processing was resumed.

Of this amount, 783.06 million kwanzas were captured in Non Readjustable Treasury Bonds (OTNR) and 668.30 million kwanzas in Treasury Bills (BT).

Without comparative data, the figures are in the PINV balance report, for the first quarter of this year, published recently by the Public Debt Management Unit (UGD) attached to the Ministry of Finance, to which ANGOP had access.

However, as an example, in the second quarter of 2021 (April to June), the capture of treasury bonds was 6.46 billion kwanzas, both in OTNR and BT.

Also according to the report for the first quarter of this year, the maturity period for OTNRs ranges from two to six years, while for BT it remains at 364 days, or one year.

The Investor Portal is a tool developed by the Finance Ministry, via the Debt Management Unit (UGD), in partnership with the Angolan Debt Stock Exchange (BODIVA), the National Bank of Angola (BNA) and the Interbank Services Company (EMIS).

The tool allows the acquisition of Treasury Bonds online, provided the investor has a functional tax identification number (NIF), a regular bank account and another custody account.
