Luanda: Students from the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technology and Sciences (ISPTEC) emerged victorious at the 5th Edition of the national scientific competition, "CMC and Universities (CMC and U - 2025)," held in Luanda. The annual competition is organized by the Capital Markets Commission (CMC) to stimulate research and bolster financial literacy among young students. According to Angola Press News Agency, the winning team from ISPTEC, comprised of three final-year students, impressed the judges with their scientific work titled "Balance between the freedom of negotiation and stability of the Angolan market." The competition recognizes excellence in research and its application to real-world financial systems. The second place in the competition was secured by students from the Higher Catholic Institute of Huambo Province, who presented a study on "The challenges for the implementation of the financial instrument in the capital market." Meanwhile, the third-place award went to candidates from the Hi gher Institute of Social Sciences and International Affairs (CIS). With a focus on "The impact of financial and accounting development on performance," the competition offers lucrative rewards. The first-place winners received two million kwanzas, equivalent to approximately USD 2,191, along with three computers and a three-month internship at the sponsoring institution. The second and third-place teams were awarded 1.5 million kwanzas and 1 million kwanzas, respectively. In remarks to ANGOP, José Simo, representing the winning group, expressed gratitude to the organizers for the scientific competition. He noted that their achievement serves as a motivational force for all university students.
