JMPLA Boosts Blood Supply at Moxico General Hospital with 56 Donations

Luanda: The blood transfusion service at Moxico General Hospital received a significant boost with a donation of 56 bags of blood, thanks to an initiative by JMPLA, the youth wing of the MPLA party.

According to Angola Press News Agency, this philanthropic effort is part of the celebrations for the founding of the JMPLA, which will be commemorated on November 23rd. Salvador Afonso, the first provincial secretary of the JMPLA in Moxico, expressed that the movement aimed to show solidarity with the hospital, which has been experiencing a critical shortage of blood supplies.

Fernando Branco, the administrative director of the hospital, emphasized the humanitarian nature of the JMPLA militants' contribution, noting its potential to save numerous lives. He highlighted the ongoing challenge the hospital faces in maintaining adequate blood reserves and urged for continued support from young volunteers.

The blood donation campaign, themed "Your blood, my life," serves as the opening event for the November 23rd celebrations and has attracted participation from over 300 young JMPLA members.
