Luanda: The secretary for the Department of Associativism and Social Promotion of the National Committee of the JMPLA (Youth Wing of the MPLA),urea Capasola Casola, announced this Wednesday in Luanda that the organization is evaluating mechanisms to expand social projects developed in communities, with emphasis on social intervention initiatives and vocational training. The announcement was made during a working visit to the Jucarente Association, which operates in the capital.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the visit is part of a series of meetings that the Department of Associations and Social Promotion holds with non-governmental organizations and associations that carry out actions to support communities.urea Capasola Casola explained that the meeting allowed for a deeper understanding of Jucarente's projects and the identification of areas of cooperation that could contribute to its expansion and greater social impact.
He reported that among the initiatives presented is SOS Vizinho, currently being developed in the Madeira neighborhood, which mobilizes young brigade members and community agents to visit homes and identify the social needs of families. He announced that the association also presented a vocational training project aimed at young people, developed in partnership with five secondary schools.
According to the JMPLA representative, closer ties between organizations allow for the identification of capabilities and resources that, when combined, can contribute to addressing the social challenges of communities. 'No one walks alone. The school has the possibility of providing training, the young members of associations have the availability and strength, the entrepreneur has the resources, and we, JMPLA, know where everyone stands,' he stated.
urea Capasola Casola added that JMPLA intends to find partnership mechanisms and combine synergies to give greater scope to projects that contribute to the well-being of communities. In turn, the president of the Jucarente Association, Jos© Gombo, considered the visit an important step towards deepening cooperation between the two organizations.
The official advocated for greater unity among young people and pointed out difficulties faced by the association, particularly in the areas of mobility, technological means, and resources for carrying out its activities. According to Jos© Gombo, Jucarente relies mostly on volunteers, a situation that forces the organization to seek support to ensure the continuity of its social projects.
The president highlighted SOS Vizinho as one of the association's main priorities and announced the official launch of the initiative for September 25th at the Dr. Ant³nio Agostinho Neto Memorial in Luanda. "SOS Vizinho is a brand for everyone, not just Jucarente," he stated.
Regarding the next steps, Jos© Gombo explained that the dialogue with JMPLA should continue, emphasizing that the meeting represents only one stage in a cooperation process. The visit concluded with the prospect of continued dialogue and the identification of specific areas for partnership, particularly in the fields of vocational training, social intervention, and community support.
