Luanda: Kixicr©dito has marked a significant milestone by benefiting more than one million customers through its microcredit services over the past 20 years. The company's extensive operations span across Angola's 21 provinces, with over 50,000 active operations currently underway.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the information was disclosed in the company's operational and historical report sent to ANGOP. The report outlines Kixicr©dito's future ambitions with the launch of its Five-Year Business Plan (2025-2029), emphasizing the expansion of credit supply and integrating environmental, social, and governance criteria into its management practices.
The report highlights the challenges faced by the national financial sector, which is working to bridge the gap between formal banking and the informal economy, where a significant portion of the country's workforce is employed. Kixicr©dito's strategy aligns with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, particularly supporting Sustainable Development Goals such as poverty eradication, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and loss reduction.
Operational sustainability was achieved by Kixicr©dito in 2026, and the company became formally licensed as a microcredit institution by the National Bank of Angola in 2008. The institution sees ample opportunities for expanding financial services locally, aiming to boost productive capacity and support the transition of small subsistence businesses into more sustainable initiatives.
Kixicr©dito remains committed to serving as a conduit between the financial system and micro-entrepreneurs, enhancing financial literacy and management capacity among its beneficiaries.
