Man Found Dead at Luvo River in Zaire Province

Zaire: A 34-year-old man was found dead on Sunday in the Luvo River, located in the Luvo municipality of Zaire province. The river serves as the border between Luvo in Zaire and the Central Congo region in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

According to Angola Press News Agency, Manuel Mpanzo Cassua, the spokesperson for the Civil Protection and Firefighters, reported on Tuesday that two bodies were discovered floating in the river without any visible signs of trauma, suggesting that drowning might be the cause of death. The deceased man was identified as In¡cio Freitas Matosi and was recovered by the Criminal Investigation Service along with public health technicians.

Cassua also mentioned the recent removal of another male body from the waters off the new municipality of Quªlo, which was previously known as the commune of Soyo. The border municipality of Luvo is situated 60 kilometers north of Mbanza Kongo, the capital of Zaire Province.
